Back in Hanoi
Busy, busy, busy. This is what it is like in the street's. Today we got up and went out for some french fries. soooooooo good!!!!!!! They make them on the street. I just learned how to write in pink so I will keep doing this till the end of this post. This morning we took a ride in a cyclo. It is like a bike taxi. All the people on the side walk selling stuff are really persistent. "Mam do you want any shirts. They are very nice. $2 Mam. Please Mam I need some money Mam. Please. These are nice shirts you know." By the way you are not listening to anything he is saying or doing. They just follow you! As far as they have to walk away from there stand the will do it. My back is getting tired typing this in bed so I am going to stop. :) JM

Hello Belle, Duncan and Jesse! Your blog is wonderful and we really enjoy the opportunity to hear (and see) a bit of what you are experiencing in Vietnam.
ReplyDeleteAs we read about your adventures thus far, we are reminded of our journey to Peru. We also contended with traffic, pollution, and people selling their trinkets, which sometimes contrasted with amazing landscapes, rich culture, and the emerging economic impact of tourism. We absolutely loved taking it all in, developing relationships with locals, and learning and experiencing all that we could. I am sure you are doing the same.
We look forward to more stories and photographs, and wish you the very best in health, happiness, and discovery.

(PS - Eli wants to know how you write in pink.)
